Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC) stands as a prominent player in Malaysia’s defence and security industries. Listed on Bursa Malaysia Berhad’s Main Market as early as in 2007, BHIC is a key provider of services and support across the marine, aerospace and weapons & combat sectors.

BHIC is committed to enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness, with a primary focus on providing In-Service Support (ISS) and Refit Works for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) submarines. Our dedication also extends to the aerospace sector, where we collaborate with joint venture companies to deliver specialised services and products for both defence and commercial applications.

Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)

Marine
In the Marine sector, BHIC’s main focus is on providing In-Service Support (ISS) and Refit Works for RMN submarines. This includes:

• Providing essential support services to maintain and upgrade RMN submarines, ensuring their operational readiness and effectiveness.
• Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the RMN submarine fleet through timely, highquality maintenance and refit work.

Aerospace
BHIC’s involvement in the Aerospace sector is through various joint venture (JV) companies :

• BHIC AeroServices Sdn Bhd (BHICAS), specialising in MRO services for helicopters used by the RMN, Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).
• Airbus Helicopters Simulation Centre Sdn Bhd (AHSC), offering flight simulators and aviation training programme.

Weapons & Combat Systems
In the field of defence technology, BHIC is actively engaged in the development and maintenance of advanced weapons & combat systems. Our work in this sector includes:

• BHIC Bofors Asia Sdn Bhd (BBA): Providing essential maintenance services for Bofors guns installed on RMN ships, BBA plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of these critical armaments.
• BHIC Defence Techservices Sdn Bhd (BDTS) which undertakes MRO of naval guns and integration of combat systems on RMN ships.
