WEIR is a long standing (151 years) company that designs and manufactures highly engineered products and services for minerals processing (mining), oil and gas, and power industries; employing over 14,000 employees across 70 countries serving markets with good long-term prospects. WEIR established itself in Malaysia by acquiring Linatex Rubber Products Sdn. Bhd. in 2010. Linatex is also a long-standing business being in existence for over 100 years. Based out of Batu Caves, its core products are manufacturing highly specialized rubber for supplying critical global industries that are required to keep the world moving such as mining, critical infrastructure, power plants, cleaning industries and food industries and 99% of these products are purely exported to various geographical location. The facility in Batu Caves is the only facility for WEIR supplying such product globally hence plays a very important role as a rubber hub.
