MCTF Offers Over 10,000 Jobs to Help Nation-Building Efforts

The Malaysia Career and Training Fair (MCTF), a nation-building initiative by AIC Exhibitions, is back this weekend with a whopping 10,000 jobs from reputable employers across a wide spectrum of industries.

A recent job market insight released by the Department of Statistic Malaysia (DOSM) showed that over 536,000 jobs were advertised online in 2021, with high numbers in 3Q21 and 4Q21.

The increasing demand for workforce signifies the growth of economic sectors are accelerating. Moreover, this is in line with the National Recovery Plan which aims to restore the national economy from the impact of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, according to the latest Labour Market Review by DOSM, there are still more than 690,000 individuals that are unemployed based on the figure in 4Q21.

Datuk William Ng, managing director of AIC Exhibitions Sdn Bhd and the organising chairman of the MCTF’22, says: “This is our second decade of hosting a career and training fair since 2002. It is especially meaningful, and we are honoured to continue the effort of being part of nation-building in this challenging time and support economic recovery.

“Human resources are no doubt precious assets to any organisation. There are more than half a million job vacancies published in the job market currently waiting to be filled. Hence, MCTF’22 is the ideal platform to connect the jobseekers to meet their potential employers and open up the opportunities for them to be hired immediately at the fair.”

MCTF takes place at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur, on this 5-6 March (Saturday and Sunday), from 10am to 7pm.

About 60 top employers including multinational companies (MNC) and SMEs, such as Shell, CIMB, Coway, Top Glove, Marina Bay Sands, Honda, Decathlon, Genting, EcoWorld, Proton, Paynet, and others will be there for their recruitment drive.

The more than 10,000 job vacancies cover various categories such as advertising & sales, accounting, software development, services, manufacturing, engineering, etc.

The event is a great opportunity for fresh graduates and individuals who are looking to get back into the job market or trying to get a fresh start in their career.

Jobseekers need to wear appropriate attire and bring along a soft copy of their resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) and relevant documents to meet the potential employers and secure immediate interview opportunities at the fair.

The fair also provides opportunities for job seekers to understand the latest trend and skills required in the job market, career counselling and guidance. Free branded coffee will be made available for early birds.

Registration for MCTF’22 is available at www.careerfair.asia. A QR code will be provided for registrants to enter the fair. Visitors are encouraged to pre-register to skip the queue at the entrance.

AIC Exhibitions takes careful steps in prioritising the safety of the communities and the public. Apart from spacing out the exhibition booths accordingly, everyone at the fair will be required to wear a face mask, present their MySejahtera status and the test result (as an image on their mobile phone with name and date written on the test cassette) of their most recent RTK self-test (not more than 24 hours) at the entrance.
