Future Workforce Malaysia 2025: Preparing Malaysians for the AI-driven economy
Held on 12 August 2025, Future Workforce Malaysia 2025 (FWM2025) united leaders from industry, academia and government to explore how Malaysia can equip its people for the AI era and strengthen the bridge between education and employment.
The event opened with a Welcome Address by Datuk William Ng, National President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA), followed by a Keynote Address on the Future Workforce Malaysia by Mr. Thomas Mathew, Group CEO of TalentCorp Group of Companies.
A key highlight was the MoU between TalentCorp and SAMENTA under the LiKES Programme, allocating RM2 million for structured, paid internships, matched by SMEs to total over RM4 million, creating 1,500 internship opportunities over two years.
The event also featured an engaging panel with Stella Lau (SEGi University & Colleges), Cyril Tan (U Mobile) and Dr. Serrene Leong (University of Malaya), who shared insights on embracing AI as a tool for learning, collaboration and social good.
As a sponsor, MCTF is proud to support initiatives like FWM2025 that align with our mission to bridge talent and opportunity, helping Malaysians thrive in the future world of work.
