Asia e University (AeU), founded by Prof. Dato’ Dr Ansary Ahmed, is a unique collaborative multinational university initiated by the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), a body established in 2002 to promote Asian cooperation at a continental level. The university is established as the Malaysian Government initiative and prime mover to champion e-education, affirmed at the ACD Ministerial Meetings in Islamabad (2005) and Doha (2006) and supported by 35 ACD member countries.

AeU is a leading Open and Distance Learning (ODL) university in Malaysia and one of the premier ODL institutions in Asia. As a pioneer in online learning, our expanding digital learning infrastructure has enabled our students to pursue learning at their own pace, anytime, anywhere, to meet evolving knowledge and skills needs of the future. AeU’s mission is to be a global university and a premier educational hub in the promotion of quality, flexible and affordable learning.

At AeU, we offer more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across five schools which are School of Education & Cognitive Science, School of Management, School of Science & Technology, School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Graduate Studies and School of Foundation Studies. Our programmes are designed in part-time study modes to cater to working adults and for lifelong learning. AeU offers Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) pathways through APEL. A, APEL. Q, APEL. C. APEL provides an opportunity for individuals who have acquired non-formal and informal learning but lack of formal academic qualifications to gain recognition in the form of credits based on their work and life experiences.
